Well, Paxton Has just gotten over being sick. It started off as just a fever of 101( I think it was the 17th). I took him to the docter's and they said that if it got worse to go to the ER. So, it got up to 104 around 9:PM that night, so we went to the ER. We got in fast and, Oh man, the first thing they wanted to do was take his blood! ~If you have been keeping up with this blog from the start, you know how much I hate to let people take blood.~ But, I knew that we needed to find out what was wrong with Pax, so I consented. NEVER LET AN INTERN DRAW BLOOD!!! This girl poked my poor baby three times! Jamming the needle in to find the vain. Oh, she made me mad. I told her, No more, Get the Real Nurse to do it( who got the blood in less than 60 seconds!) The doc on call said that it's a 'Feveral Virus' (wich didn't make much sence to me) that would last a few days and to alternate Motrin and Tylenol to break the fever. We didn't get out of there 'till around 1:30AM. The next day the fever was in and out. Pax just seemed a little more sleepy, but over all he did good eatting and wetting diapers. On the following day, the 19th(around 8pm,) Pax broke out into a nasty rash! Bubbley and red and all over his face and it seemed to be a reaction to something, so we took him back to the ER. They just said that it was related to the fever and that I should do nothing but keep him well hydrated.... And EVERYONE in the hospital wanted to see the baby who already says Mom!
Anyhow, He is doing much better today.

PAXTON IS A PIG!!!
He eats anything and everything that you put in front of him. Peas, carrots, pears, apples, peaches, greenbeans, squash, sweet taters, all thickened with oatmeal or some other kind of cereal. He gives you this sour look on the first bite and after that he is all baby bird- his mouth wide open with his arms out streched and leaning towards you.


Oh, and Dad, Drew loves his new Harley-Davidson hat.... We have too much fun. Look at this cool dude in his Flamein' sunglsses!

I don't know how many people know that we have a fake farm near our house. yep, a Fake farm, complete with hourses, cows and a Giant chicken!

May 1-Four and a Half Weeks to Go

Paxton got his first "professional" picture taken at the mall the other day. This picture is the additional one that we choose, but the better one will be in in a few weeks. We are so lucky to live in such a beautifull place. Since the start of spring we have two different bird families nested in our yard, a few hummers, a quail couple that were on the porch the other day, and a wood pecker couple. One of the Wood Peckers is now named HummingWood because I cought it(on tape too) perched on the little humming bird feeder franticlly eatting the sugary syrup. The Iris' are in bloom and bigger than ever this year, the daisys that my mom got for the baby shower are coming back and it is so green in the yard sometimes I forget that we are in the high desert.
I don't think I 've ever talked about Ryan Ford on this blog. He was a childhood friend when we lived in Crestline, ca. I remember his high, prepuberty voice calling from the street up to our house for Toph to come play. Ryan Ford died last year of a rare blood cancer. His sister is keeping up on his "MySpace" and found Topher who gave me the site..... We miss you, Dude!
