February 23rd

Paxton has started to laugh. He holds his head on his own and is getting better at "tummy time." His legs are strong enough to hold his weight and we are working to get his arms strong and under him. He seems to know when it is about the time for Drew to be coming home from work. Pax fusses untill dad picks him up then he is all smiles and so content with his dad- that's my cue to grab the camera. Pax got a hold of a teething toy yesterday. He has been shoving both fists into his mouth so we gave him a toy, he gnawed on it for a while and came to the conclusion that his fists taste better. Here are some new pictures. Enjoy!

February 10th

Paxton's personlity is starting to blossom. He wants to get up and go. Pax will be fussin' and Drew will stand him up, holding under his arms, and Pax will walk up Drew's belly. I read about this "walking reflex" which is when baby's feet touch something hard the legs extend. Unfortunatly, this refelex goes away from 3 to 6 months, but Pax actually moves his feet forward when he takes steps. I always thought that I wouldn't hold high expectations for Paxton. As he grows I wanted him to do everything at his own pase with our help. Drew has to remind me that Paxton is only two and half months because I expect him to sit up by himself and start crawling. Although, he is a boy and we all know how slow boys can grow up. He does sleep through the night- from about 8 or 9 till 7 am. He has done this consistantly over the past week or so. He has always been a pro at sleeping! My favorite new trick of his is spit bubbles! next month he starts to get shot, so we will get a new weight an length. Drew insures me that Pax is not 30lbs and whatever me last guesstimate was.
Pax got to see my Granny for the first time a week ago. She loved him and he smiled at her and held her fingers. On that visit we rescued Dolly, so don't worry any more, Aunt Tobi, she is safe.
The latest painting I've done is an abstract of Drew and Paxton.
Also, my mom and I took Paxton to see "Brokeback Mountain", he did great. He ate before the show started and then slept through it. I thought it was a good movie, just a cowboy twist on "If These Wall Could Talk." I'm sure it will be a big hit in Tx......
And my mom has come up with a better name for herself because Gramecca wasn't cutting it. so, Mammy took some great pitures that are posted.
